powder Mt BC Heli
Had a great day of Heli assist Pow complements of Powder Mountain Heli. Canada retail sales contest winners were treated to a great day of fun, JG, Mikkel Bang, Mark Sollors were there in the mix and i'd say we showed the Retailers a good day. :-)

32nd Burton US OPEN
Vail hosted the 32nd Burton US OPEN. The Slopestyle riders had to deal with snow all day and i'm sure that sucked riding those jumps and rails, but myself and the 30+ Retailers i was riding with were super stoked, We had some great runs rallying around Vail with Joe Curtes as our Guide. We ended up the Day with a Minturn Mile run down to get some Mexi Food with 71 people. That was by far the biggest group i've even ventured into the backcountry with. Thanks Jake for a Epic Event.

Washington , Mission Ridge Demo
Northwest is going off with snow lately. I was lucky enough to get in and ride Stevens pass in the evening, then head over to Mission Ridge for the ON-Snow demo there. The second day at Mission Ridge was pretty incredible, snowed over a foot and was really uncrowded. Needless to say the Family Tree boards were gone all day from the Demo Tent.

ON-Snow Retailer demo at Snowbasin Utah. First day was a little flat light but still fun, then it snowed about 6 inches overnight and the second day was super fun ripping around the resort. Flight Attendant board was the hot item of the day for sure.

SIA 2014
SIA Colorado Tradeshow 2014. This year was great having some snow on the ground in Denver for the Tradeshow. Even though the snow has been horrible in California, Most of the people at the show were fired up on snowboarding. The On-snow Demo at Copper Mt was great and it was one of the busiest demos ever. One Highlight of the trip was seeing good friends at the tradeshow, also i got to hook up with Joe Curtes and ride with him. Joe and I were partners in the development of the Custom board and Burton has Been Selling it for 20 years. The dude still rips hard and can turn a board that's for sure.

Japan 2014
I just want to say "I Love Japan". The People ,culture, and especially the snow and Mountains. I went over to Japan this year to Visit Burton Japan trade show and Talk some product with the Japanese Retailers. I also was very lucky to get to go up to a local Resort and get some seriously good snow. It continues to blow me away that people there don't ride in the Trees. You can go up at 3 pm in the Afternoon and find all the Pow Pow you want. Untracked Tree Riding in Japan is some of the best in the World. I Rode the Landlord 59 for the first day, then switched to the Pile Driver 40 and was absolutely blown away with that board. It is made for riding the trees in Pow.

Bear Mountain
I have had some super fun days up at Bear Mountain this year, even though its one of the worst snow winters in California, This is actually the 3rd meager snow winter in a row. Bear Mountain is incredible at making the most out of nothing. The Park Crew headed up by Clayton Shoemaker is 1st class and the amount of effort they put into making super fun terrain is second to none. The way they make their park is so different than most ski resorts that put everything in a line, Bear Mountain is more like a Skatepark, with banks and trannies all over the place. I love it, and am proud to say I've had a pass there for 23 years. Burton had a "party in your park" event there and my kids entered it, that was super classic. I hope they take after my wife in the competitive department. I also had a incredible reunion day with Mike Parillo (first ever park builder) and Brian Thien. Both of these guys were at Bear the first year i started riding, and have been a huge influence for me over the years.
Thanks Big Bear Mountain Resorts. :-)
