Back to Brighton

Rode Brighton with some homeys from Blindside and Milo Provo.. So Much fun , Lots of sun and the snow wasn't to bad
for the bad winter that I've heard Utah has been having. Jeremy Jones stopped by and took some laps, and stepped up to a sick 50 - 50 on a mean rail in the park. Brighton is a cool resort, and has such great snowboard terrain. We ended the day with the mandatory Lone Star Taco Feast.

jibber Jeremy in Backcountry

Went out in the Backcountry in Tahoe with Jeremy Jones ( Burton) . Jeremy has had a bad ankle this winter cause he's been hitting the streets pretty hard as always. I told him i would take him to some spots I know about in Tahoe and hopefully he can get some clips for the people Movie. Jeremy had a great day,,, I think he got like 4-5 shots in the first day,, that usually doesn't happen. The dude can snowboard that's for sure. If I can teach jeremy only one of the many things Craig Kelly tought me, I'd be stoked. Keep it up Jones..

funny boy

Everyone from Analog went up to Bear Mt for a day of shredding. I was assigned to drive up my buddy Benji Weatherly, who is a pro surfer-comedian. Every time i hang out with Benji my stomach hurts like i've been doing 1,000 situps cause i've been laughing so hard. Benji loves doing tindys when he snowboards. He thinks its a cool grab. I'll let him believe what he wants, as long as he doesn't make fun of my cutback.

Park chipmunks

Went up to Big Bear over the weekend with the Family. Sunny day in California. As always Bear Mountain didn't disappoint. Logan and Dillon were loving the mini jumps and the funboxes. I can't believe how much fun it is to ride around with my boys on the beginner runs. some of the best runs of my life that's for sure.

Tahoe/Mammoth Demo

Just got back from Tahoe and Mammoth. 4 days of Retailer Demos. The snow was pretty epic. It was fun turning screws and getting people amped on the new Burton Line. Lots of good feedback on the new Sherlock , Custom Flying V , Process and the Wammy bar. Took a couple runs with Steve Klassen from Wave Rave on the top of the mountain,, i think that guy likes riding rocks better than riding snow. :-) thanks for our french Chef Laurent for grilling burgers.

Tahoe Pow

I've been riding in the Tahoe Backcountry now for about 15 years. During this time i've been able to search out some incredible spots with the help of friends like the Hatchett Brothers and the riders that film with Standard Films. I've had many people help me with knowledge in the backcountry and i want to pass that on to younger riders. The last few days I took Keegan and Mikkel out into a special spot in the Tahoe Area. I'm really impressed with both of them and how they can translate their freestyle skills into the Freeriding mountain arena. People think Keegan is just some little jibber from So Cal, but that kid can snowboard. Serious , he can ride pow and land. I'm not talking a little bit of fresh, it snowed over 8 feet in the last week here in Tahoe. I've known Mikkel for a long time. When I met him he was this little 4ft kid with sick style, Now he is a 9 foot tall man with super sick style, and the guy has some serious power when he rides. Both of them need work on there snowmobile skills though. :-)

The Boat

Went cat boarding at Steamboat Colorado today with some shop kids from BC surf/sport.. had a great time riding
with them and talking about the new Burton 2011 gear they were riding. Its pretty easy to be happy
with your equipment when your riding powder, but they were super stoked on the new sherlock board.
Also the new Custom Flying V. I got this kid Harry to take a run Bear Back ,, and I gave him a Flying V 57.
it was classic. Plus there was some funny hip/hop MTV moments in the cat on the way up.

Analog "Design Unlikley Feature " Event

Sat Jan 9 was the unveiling of the Spaceship by Austin. Austin was the winner of the "Design Unlikely Feature " contest from Analog. It was a contest held on-line where people could submit a drawing of a Feature to be Built by the Bear Mountain crew.
Analog received about 350 entries. Some were super crazy, or very expensive and huge to build, but the winner was the spaceship by Austin. Its a super fun feature and allows riders of all levels to hit it and enjoy. Analog put on a riding contest on i,
and Austin who rips actually made the finals. The kids in the Finals were going off. Lots of good style jibbing going on.
New Analog team riders Alex Andrews and Zak Hale helped in the Judging. If you get the Chance , head up to Bear and shred the Spaceship.. Its Fun.
