back in the Hood

Burton had its Summer Sales Meeting at Mt Hood Oregon. I haven't been to Mt Hood in like 11 years. Lots has changed in Government Camp, it is much more developed. High Cascade Snowboard Camp rolled out the red carpet for us. We stayed in the Camper housing and got to ride the park. Jussi, Sollars, Rencz were at hand and we all had a great couple days riding and getting the Sales guys ready for the season.

South Bay Demo

I grew up in the South Bay, went to high school at Redondo and started surfing when i was 11 years old up at El Porto. It is always cool to go back to my home spot and see that Surfing is thriving and there are a lot of kids amped. The Channel Islands demo was great today.. Waves were super fun for the summertime, and good turnout. :-)

today's Channel Islands demo went off. Waves were super fun, head high peaks, People were amped. This old guy showed up with a Quiksilver wetsuit and made a scene. Great Day. :-)

ET Surf

Picked up my buddies from ET Surf and took them up to the Channel Islands Factory. I worked with these guys at ET before I turned into a snowboard dork. It is such a good shop, the people make it a really special place in the South Bay. We even got in a little surf at Emma Wood on the way back , we thought we were ripping, then Timmy Curran padded out and made us all look silly.

Surfride summer fest Demo

Surfride hosted a big Demo at Seaside Reef today for all their customers to come down and try all the newest Surf product. Channel Island Surfboards was there in full effect. Waves were fun and the sun was out.. Summers here.

Last day of Jibfest

Last day of Jibfest 2011.

Most of the dudes are pretty tired and sore,, i can barley walk.

Such an amazing group of guys riding for 3 days. Thanks to Northstar and SPT for making the event go off..

Day 2 at the Nixon Jibfest 2011 . Such a sick setup ,, Gunny and the crew from SPT did it right. They set up about 18 different features , some were just super fun , and some were pretty sketchy. Everybody stepped up and was sessioning all the features. We had two spin wheels , basically you had to spin your feature, then spin what trick to do on the feature. It was scary spinning those things. Chad was giving out 100 dollar bills for a completed challenge. I'm so beat from the day. The hot Tub is calling.
